This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to Dr. Jessamine Jovelina Mozo Montero in recognition of her reception of Talk Magazine's 2009 Minority Achiever Award. We commend Dr. Montero for her diligence, guidance, and determination to succeed. As the special assistant to the president: senior officer for diversity and inclusion at Slippery Rock University, Dr. Montero leads one of the great institutions of our region to help the youth of our county realize their potential to achieve greatness. She has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that our great County may follow, and she serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to Dr. Larry Glasco in recognition of his reception of Talk Magazine's 2009 Minority Achiever Award. We commend Dr. Glasco for his diligence, teaching ability, and determination to succeed. As an assistant professor of history at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Glasco leads the youth of our region to realize their potential to accomplish great deeds. He has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that our great County may follow, and he serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
