Proclamation thanking Ms. Barbara Arensberg for her 28 years of dedicated service to the Community College of Allegheny County.

WHEREAS, for more than 28 years, Ms. Barbara L. Arensberg has been a dedicated employee of the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) Boyce Campus supporting student success as the Director of Registration and Advisement, Assistant Director of Academic Services, Senior Clerk of the Registrar's Office, and Secretary/Typist; and
 
WHEREAS, Ms. Arensberg has served as the Director of Registration and Advisement for 22 years and responsible for the planning, organization, administration and evaluation of the Boyce Campus registration process, including the associate college center; and
 
WHEREAS, Ms. Arensberg has served on various committees and special projects, including as the team leader of the Registration/Records Datatel Computer System Conversion project, as a member of the Academic Standards and Student Affairs Committee and the Enrollment Management Task Force, just to name a few; and
 
WHEREAS, under Ms. Arensberg's leadership, a new academic advising system was employed, and she developed and implemented ImageNow, a software suite that enables the user to organize content from many different sources; and
 
WHEREAS, Ms. Arensberg earned her Master of Science in Information Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, hereby commends Ms. Arensberg for her 28 years of dedicated service to the Community College of Allegheny County and we wish her all the best upon the occasion of her retirement. Her impact on this community, and her commitment to Allegheny County and its citizens, serves as an inspiration to us all.
