Proclamation congratulating The Employment Institute at Auberle for being named the “2015 Pennsylvania Community Based Program of the Year” by the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission.

WHEREAS, on Thursday, November 5, 2015 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania at the 2015 James E. Anderson Pennsylvania Conference on Juvenile Justice, the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission named The Employment Institute at Auberle the “2015 Pennsylvania Community Based Program of the Year” for its outstanding service to Pennsylvania’s juvenile justice system; and

 

WHEREAS, this distinction recognizes the life changing outcomes that Auberle’s workforce development programming has been able to accomplish with juvenile court involved youth; and

 

WHEREAS, the Community Based Program of the Year award recognizes Auberle’s ability to help youth with significant barriers to educational attainment and successful employment; and

 

WHEREAS, in addition to its statewide recognition, The Employment Institute at Auberle has been awarded a $1 million YouthBuild federal grant to support additional academic and occupational skills training for at-risk youth;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate The Employment Institute at Auberle for being named the “2015 Pennsylvania Community Based Program of the Year” by the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission, and we thank the many individuals and organizations who support Auberle’s work of healing families and empowering youth throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania.
