Proclamation commending the Clairton Chamber of Commerce for its wisdom in honoring Mr. Ralph Imbrogno and presenting him the “2003 Citizen of the Year” award.

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is blessed with individuals and organizations dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our neighborhood and the community as a whole; and
WHEREAS, the Clairton Chamber of Commerce wishes to honor and recognize Mr. Ralph Imbrogno, a lifelong resident of Clairton who embodies the values, spirit, and character of the City of Clairton and its residents, and has elevated the goal of economic redevelopment to a level of new importance in the City of Clairton; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Imbrogno has actively sought and supported new businesses and job development in the City of Clairton and has had a distinguished record of service to the residents of Clairton as an elected official and as a U.S. Army Veteran; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Imbrogno has dutifully served the City of Clairton and its residents for a quarter century as an elected councilman, controller, and currently as its city manager;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Allegheny County Council does hereby commend the Clairton Chamber of Commerce for its wisdom in honoring Mr. Ralph Imbrogno and presenting him the “2003 Citizen of the Year” award; and we further commend Mr. Imbrogno, whose commitment to his neighborhood and its citizens serves as an inspiration to us all.
