Proclamation recognizing Ronald G. Backer upon the occasion of his 30th anniversary with the Rothman Gordon Law Firm.

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is blessed to have leaders who commit themselves wholeheartedly to serving and representing our region with the utmost dedication and professionalism; and
WHEREAS, for the past 30 years, Ronald G. Backer has dedicated himself to providing legal service to his clients with Rothman Gordon, a renowned Pittsburgh-area law firm; and
WHEREAS, as a skilled attorney in the Litigation Department, Mr. Backer represents clients across the litigation spectrum, including business and corporate transactions, will contests, labor and employment matters, and zoning hearings; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Backer has also practiced extensively in Real Estate and has authored two pieces on Pennsylvania Landlord Remedies: “Pennsylvania Landlord Remedies: Collection of Rent and Recovery of Possession” and “Pennsylvania Landlord Remedies: An Update,” for Dickinson Law Review; and
WHEREAS, prior to joining Rothman Gordon, Mr. Backer served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Maurice Louik in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Backer holds membership in numerous organizations, including the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, Allegheny County Council joins with Rothman Gordon in celebrating Ronald G. Backer's 30 years of service. You have set a standard of excellence that serves as an inspiration to the members of this Council and to all the residents of Allegheny County, and we congratulate you on this momentous occasion.
