This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Mr. and Mrs. Melvyn and Norma Achtzehn upon the momentous occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Achtzehn were married on June 23, 1949 by the Rev. Nee in Holy Name Church in Duquesne after Melvyn returned from serving in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Melvyn worked for U.S. Steel, drove an oil truck and had a gas station for Atlantic Gasoline before owning Achtzehn Auto Supply along West Grant Avenue in Duquesne. Norma worked at the Famous department store, Kennywood and the Beauty Fair USA in Duquesne. They are the proud parents of Cheryl, Lori, Bonnie, and Guy. The couple has six cherished grandchildren. We are pleased to recognize the couple's impressive dedication to each other over so many years; only two people who are truly meant for one another can spend their lives together. We congratulate Melvyn and Norma on this great milestone and wish them much happiness in the future.
