Anita Laurenzi

100th Birthday

April 16, 2008

This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Anita Laurenzi upon the momentous occasion of her 100th birthday.  Anita was born on April 16, 1908 in Mosciano Sant'Angelo, Italy and was the youngest of eight children.  When Anita was 21 years old, she boarded a ship to the United States and arrived at Ellis Island during the Great Depression.  With little money, she and her husband, Luigi, managed to make ends meet and provide for their family.  She is the proud mother of a son, Louis, a daughter, Estay, and her late daughter, Eva, as well as a grandmother of two and a great-grandmother of two.  Anita spends much of her time cooking delicious meals for her family and proudly roots for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates.  On behalf of the residents of Allegheny County, we congratulate you on this milestone and wish you a joyous and healthy 100th year of life.
