Motion of the Council of Allegheny County adopting version 2026.1 of the Rules of Council, and repealing all previous versions of such Rules in their entirety.

Whereas, Allegheny County Council has previously adopted and, from time to time, amended Rules of Council to guide its processes and procedures; and
Whereas, a comprehensive update of the Rules of Council has not been undertaken for a number of years; and
Whereas, it is the desire of Council to adopt such a comprehensively reviewed and updated form of the Rules of Council, in order to render its Rules more user friendly, reflective of current practice, and efficiently administered; and
The Council of the County of Allegheny therefore hereby moves as follows:
For the reasons delineated herein, the Rules of Council, version 2026.1 are hereby adopted in the form attached to this Motion. All previous versions of the Rules of Council are hereby repealed in their entirety.
