Proclamation declaring April 5, 2008 "Kay Bello Day" in Allegheny County.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is blessed and fortunate to have great community and civic leaders who bring out the best in our communities; and

 

                     WHEREAS, Kay Bello, of Bethel Park, exemplified the spirit and actions of community activism and goodwill through her many charitable and community endeavors; and

 

                     WHEREAS, Kay Bello was a longtime active member of the Republican Party who was involved in countless activities and demonstrated many years of dedication and commitment to the Republican Party; and

 

WHEREAS, she volunteered and chaired several committees on both the local, county and state levels, and held the position of Committeewoman on various levels; and

 

WHEREAS, Kay Bello was a driving force for every political office and openly offered her support and expertise in multiple elections for many Republicans candidates.  Her hard work most recently included single-handedly securing Presidential White House spokesman Tony Snow as the special guest and speaker for the 2007 RCAC dinner, providing for one of the largest dinners in the history of Allegheny County; and

                     

WHEREAS, perhaps nobody else could combine the spirit of the community with her love for doing good for a great deal of people and also the Party of which she was proud to serve and volunteer;

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Saturday April 5th, 2008, in her memory, will be recorded as Kay Bello Day in Allegheny County. This day will be duly recorded and historically be marked within the annuals of Allegheny County's records in tribute to an everlasting memory of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and proud Republican stalwart.
