Aspinwall Borough Police Department

This Certificate of Recognition is presented to the Aspinwall Borough Police Department in recognition of their successful apprehension of two armed bank robbery suspects.  The suspects, who robbed the National City Bank in Aspinwall on April 18, 2008, were apprehended following a 90-minute manhunt conducted by the Aspinwall PD in conjunction with other local police departments, Allegheny County detectives, and the FBI.  We thank the following members of the Aspinwall Police Department for their efforts in apprehending the burglary suspects: Chief John Sabol, Sergeant James Peterson, Officer David Nemec, and Officer Daniel Ament.  Furthermore, we thank all of the above named Police Department members, as well as Officer David Komora and Officer Shawn McMinn for their continued dedication to service and for your commitment to protecting the safety of the residents of Aspinwall.  You have made Allegheny County a better place to live, and for that, we commend you.
