This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Nicholas John Balkovec of Boy Scout Troop 296 in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, scouting's most distinguished honor. This Council commends Mr. Balkovec's diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career, his growth as a troop leader, and his dedication to our community. For his Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project, Mr. Balkovec reorganized a playground area by painting games, installing new basketball hoops and restoring the Lady of Fátima statue to benefit St. Sylvester School, located in Brentwood, Pennsylvania. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Balkovec has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow. He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
