WHEREAS, the prestigious World’s Championship Horse Show is held annually in Louisville, Kentucky in conjunction with the Kentucky State Fair and crowns world champion Saddlebreds in different divisions; and
WHEREAS, the show attracts spectators and competitors from across the world and includes over 2,000 horses competing for more than $1 million in awards determined by a panel of equestrian professionals; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Stacey Himmelstein White operates Riverview Valley Stables which has been in her family since 1875. Located next to Riverview Park in the City of Pittsburgh, the stable is where Ms. Himmelstein White trains her daughter, Ms. Rhiannon Rose White. Rhiannon also trains in Kentucky under Carriage Lane Farm owners, Mr. and Mrs. John and Tammie Conatser, Jr. John was recently inducted into the United Professional Horsemen’s Association (UPHA) Tom Moore Hall of Fame; and
WHEREAS, Rhiannon earned the 2013 Kentucky State Fair Junior Exhibitor Three-Gaited Country Pleasure, 13 & Under Reserve World’s Champion of Champions (WCC), riding Champion Horse (CH) League Of Nations; and
WHEREAS, CH League Of Nations was named the Junior Exhibitor Country Pleasure Horse of the Year in 2012 by Show Horse Magazine and earned tricolor ribbons in 2012 and 2011;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Allegheny County Council, in conjunction with Allegheny County Treasurer John K. Weinstein, does hereby congratulate Ms. Rhiannon Rose White for winning the 2014 Reserve World’s Champion of Champions (WCC) Junior Exhibitor Three Gaited Country Pleasure, 14-17 Years Old, riding Champion Horse (CH) League Of Nations, at the 2014 Kentucky State Fair World...
