Motion of the Council of Allegheny County canceling the Regular Meeting of Council currently scheduled for July 11, 2006, and rescheduling that Regular Meeting for July 12, 2006.

                     WHEREAS, Article II, Section B.5. of the Rules of Allegheny County Council permit the President, with the consent of the majority of the seated members of Council, to cancel meetings; and

 

                     WHEREAS, Article II, Section B.5. also requires that notice of any cancellation must be posted to the County website and at the location at which the meeting was scheduled to occur, and should include any available information regarding rescheduling of the cancelled meeting; and

 

                     WHEREAS, Article II, Section C of the Rules of Allegheny County Council requires that Council must provide at least 24 hours' notice of deviations from the published schedule of regular meetings of Council;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,

 

That the regular meeting of Council scheduled for July 11, 2006 at 5:00 p.m., is hereby cancelled and rescheduled .for July 12, 2006, at 5:00 p.m.  The Chief Clerk shall advertise notice of this change in accordance with the Rules of Council, the Sunshine Law and any other applicable statutes.
