Proclamation proclaiming September 1, 2006 as "Eric S. Horvath Foundation Day" in Allegheny County.

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is blessed to have outstanding citizens and causes that speak to the fiber of the community; and
WHEREAS, Friday, September 1st, 2006 represents an important date for the community of Bethel Park with the dedication of the new football stadium improvements and upgrades. As a key component, the new scoreboard will bear the name of the Eric S. Horvath Scholarship Foundation; and
WHEREAS, the Eric S. Horvath Scholarship Foundation is a perpetuation of academics and scholastic disciplines that combine the very best attributes of talented high school seniors; and
WHEREAS, the Horvath, Bianco and Taylor families continually strive to keep the high standards and ideals of the Eric S. Horvath Scholarship Foundation as an important component of the high school environment. It is reminiscent and named after the late Eric S. Horvath, who represented these many important attributes and assets as a young Bethel Park student and athlete. This Foundation and the dedication of the new scoreboard represents the very best of Bethel Park, more specifically, the close community, friendship and sense of caring;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Allegheny County Council does hereby proclaim September 1, 2006 as “Eric S. Horvath Foundation Day” in Allegheny County. This day will officially be recorded as such in the County. The bearer shall have full accord and be recognized as such. Through the dedication of the new high school facility and in particular, the new scoreboard, this day shall be a lasting memory to an outstanding young man, a noble cause and to a great community.
