Sergeant Jesse Glazier of Bethel Park, PA was born on November 9, 1919 in Syracuse, New York. Sergeant Glazier was a member of the U.S. Marines during World War II where he was stationed in Paris Island, North Carolina, Cherry Point, North Carolina, and deployed overseas to Okinawa, Japan. During that time, he played the saxophone for the United States Marine Band. Sergeant Glazier served for 5 five years and two days and received the Okinawa Combat Ribbon for his service overseas. After being discharged from the military, Sergeant Glazier met and married his wife. Together they raised four children, 17 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Sergeant Glazier is a dedicated husband, stepfather and a devoted Mason. We honor and commend Sergeant Jesse Glazier for his years of service and longevity, and we wish him all the best as he celebrates his 100th birthday.
