Title

Proclamation recognizing the administration and staff of the Kane Regional Care Center in Ross Township for their exemplary service during a temporary power outage.

 

Body

WHEREAS, on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, Kane Regional Center at Ross Township conducted their usual generator test, but a problem occurred and the elevators were knocked out of service; and

 

WHEREAS,  in order to deliver lunch on-time during this emergency the Staff formed a “bucket brigade” through the stairwell and passed lunch trays from the first floor to the second, third and fourth floors; and

 

WHEREAS, the quick response by Administrator John Neiderberger and the Kane Staff helped deliver lunches to residents on time, as usual, to all three floors of the Center.  Even clean-up afterwards was completed in record time; and

 

WHEREAS, their display of teamwork and outstanding efforts to ensure residents well-being is praiseworthy;  

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, hereby recognizes and thanks Mr. John Neiderberger and the Kane Regional Center's Ross Township Staff for their commitment to service during a time of crises.
