This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Ms. Ruth Whirl upon the momentous occasion of her 100th birthday. Ms. Whirl was born on July 8, 1914. Ms. Whirl is a lifelong Borough of Glassport resident, her husband served as principal of Glassport High School and she is the proud mother of Robert Whirl. A former secretary at the old Westinghouse apparatus repair services center in Glassport, Ms. Whirl served 21 years in this position. Ms. Whirl has been a member of the Glassport Senior Center for years and visits the center on a daily basis. We honor Ms. Whirl for her longevity, which can be attributed to her positive attitude and outlook. Furthermore, we commend Ms. Whirl for taking a proactive approach to life, and we wish her the best as she celebrates her 100th birthday.
