Allegheny County Council is pleased to present this Certificate of Recognition to the Borough of Whitehall for uniting citizens, hosting businesses and promoting community spirit during its 24th Annual 5K Race and Community Day Celebration on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Brennan Plaza and Snyder Park. This year's theme is a "Tropical Paradise" and visitors will experience an island adventure complete with fire dancers, a steel drum band and John MacDonald & the Mango Men playing the music of Jimmy Buffet. The event will begin with the 5K Race or a 1 mile Walk, and will feature delicious food, prizes, games and fantastic entertainment. We recognize and thank the Borough of Whitehall for successfully utilizing collaboration to benefit the community and for bringing this fun and memorable event to its residents year after year.
