Allegheny County Council is honored to present this Certificate of Recognition to St. Philip School, a Catholic Elementary School in Crafton, upon the celebration of its Centennial. Among many other planned events throughout 2014, on September 28th, a Centennial Mass in St. Philip Church celebrated by the Most Reverend David A. Zubik, included dozens of current and former students, teachers and clergy. The theme of "Celebrating our Past, Forging our Future" will increase awareness about St. Philip School and help to raise funds to secure its future for another 100 years. This Council is proud to honor this occasion for such an integral part of the history of Crafton and the Pittsburgh Diocese. On behalf of Allegheny County, this Council congratulates St. Philip School and all of those who have helped to keep it in service throughout the past 100 years and wishes the school all the best in the future.
