Proclamation declaring September 19, 2014 as Every Child, Inc. Challenge the Champions Day in Allegheny County.

WHEREAS, Every Child, Inc., a nonprofit human services agency, founded in 1997 by Pittsburgh native Susan Davis, exists to ensure that all children have safe, stable, loving and permanent homes; and
WHEREAS, Every Child provides the opportunity for families to become self-sufficient, to build effective and lasting relationships and to contribute to safe and stable communities; and
WHEREAS, Every Child has succeeded in helping over 3,000 children in Allegheny and surrounding counties achieve a loving, lasting family; and
WHEREAS, Every Child will host the 7th Annual "Challenge the Champions" Gala event on September 19, 2014 at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown Hotel to help raise funds to continue to provide services to the residents of Allegheny County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, does hereby recognize Every Child, Inc. for their outstanding work benefitting children and families in Allegheny County and Western Pennsylvania, and we hereby declare September 19, 2014 as Every Child, Inc. Challenge the Champions Day in Allegheny County.
