Proclamation recognizing former Allegheny County Council District 13 Representative Brenda Frazier for her years of dedicated service to the residents of Allegheny County

WHEREAS, Allegheny County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania have been blessed with exemplary leaders throughout our history, with visionaries of great skill and determination who make invaluable contributions to our communities, our County and the world; and
WHEREAS, Brenda Frazier's election to Allegheny County Council in 2001 reflected great respect for and confidence in her abilities as a leader and community champion from the voters of Council District 13, for whom she remained steadfast in her dedication, in the best tradition of American public service; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure as the District 13 Representative, Council Member Frazier served as a member of the Budget & Finance, Health & Human Services, and Executive Committees, as well as Chair of the Economic Development and Housing Committee while simultaneously addressing those matters brought to her by her constituents at all times throughout her dedicated service to the residents of the County;
WHEREAS, Council Member Frazier's commitment to improving the lives of those she served, especially the lives of women and minorities, was evident not only through her active role on County Council, but also through her positions as Chair of both the Allegheny County Black Elected Officials and the Black Caucus Democratic State Committee, Co-Chair of the M/W/DBE Advisory Board, and her membership on the Board of the Pittsburgh Partnership for Neighborhood Development;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council hereby recognizes Council Member Brenda Frazier for her tremendous contributions to the cause of good government and citizen participation, and for representing the citizens of Allegheny County with the utmost integrity and professionalism.
