Allegheny County Council is pleased to present this Certificate of Recognition to the Borough of Pleasant Hills for uniting citizens, hosting businesses and promoting community spirit during its annual Community Day celebration on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Mowry Park. The family friendly event will begin with a parade, followed by a presentation of colors by the American Legion Post 712, and the National Anthem by the Thomas Jefferson High School Band. The event will feature a variety of vendors and entertainment including dance, cheerleading, martial arts, and musical performances, and will conclude with a fireworks display. This Council recognizes the 2014 Pleasant Hills Community Day Committee for successfully utilizing collaboration to benefit the community, and we thank the Borough of Pleasant Hills for bringing this fun and memorable event to its residents year after year.
