MOTION OF THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY
Authorizing the Council of Allegheny County to conduct a public hearing, pursuant to Article II.G. of the Rules of Allegheny County Council on December 10, 2014, beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the Allegheny County Courthouse Gold Room, located at 436 Grant Street in Pittsburgh, PA. Chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee of Council, John Palmiere, shall be the presiding officer for such public hearing.
The primary purpose of this hearing is to allow the opportunity for public comment regarding Bill No. 8525-14, an ordinance ratifying amendments to Allegheny County Health Department Rules and Regulations, for purposes of establishing a Food Grading System.
Individuals wishing to speak must register in advance in accordance with the rules governing public comment at Council meetings. Written testimony will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. on December 10th, 2014.
Council shall comply with the public notice requirements of Article II.G. of the Rules of Allegheny County Council. Council Members John Palmiere, Sue Means and Michael Finnerty have made commitments to attend the hearing.
Upon passage of this motion, the President is asked to take appropriate steps to provide for security for the public hearings and to provide for transcription of testimony given.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,
that the Council is hereby authorized to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Article II.G. of the Rules of Allegheny County Council on December 10, 2014, beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the Allegheny County Courthouse Gold Room, located at 436 Grant Street in Pittsburgh, PA.
All other provisions of this motion shall be appropriately administered.
