An Ordinance of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, authorizing construction and use of a greenhouse in connection with Angora Gardens in White Oak Park.

WHEREAS, the County of Allegheny (hereinafter referred to as “County”) owns and
operates certain recreational and park facilities including the park known as White Oak Park and a
section of the park known as the Angora Gardens located therein; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to permit the use of the aforesaid White Oak Park for the
construction of a greenhouse connected with the Angora Gardens; and
WHEREAS, Article IV, Sections 2.b. and 2.k. of the Allegheny County Home Rule
Charter vests the County's Council with the power to permit the use of County land, buildings or
other real or personal property.
The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby enacts as follows:
SECTION 1.
The provisions set forth in the preamble to this Ordinance are incorporated by
reference in their entirety herein.
SECTION 2.
County Council does hereby authorize Mon Yough Community Services, Inc. to
construct a greenhouse in White Oak Park connected with the existing Angora Gardens and
thereafter use the greenhouse to aid in the rehabilitation and vocational training of clients of Mon
Yough Community Services, Inc. The requirements for construction of the greenhouse and the
hours and other conditions of use of the greenhouse shall be as determined by the Parks
Department. The appropriate County officers and officials are authorized to take such action as is
necessary to carry out the purposes of the authorization granted herein.
SECTION 3. If any provision of this Ordinance shall be determined to be unlawful, invalid, void or unenforceable, then that provision shall be considered severable from the remaining provisions of this Ordinance, which shall be in full...
