Resolution amending the 2003 Capital Budget to add $2,000,000.00 to the project entitled Port Authority Transit (Acct. # 36042018.64402). The initial Port Authority Capital Budget funding of $6,100,000.00 was amended via a line-item veto (Bill Number 02-1203) dated December 12, 2003 to reflect $4,100,000.00. The additional $2,000,000.00 in funding would be provided to the Port Authority pending sale of property located in Marshall Township. The Port Authority's board and chief executive officer agreed to this method of appropriation.

WHEREAS, the county now desires to increase the 2003 Capital Budget by $2,000,000.00 to reflect $6,100,000.00 designated to the Port Authority Transit.
WHEREAS, the 2003 Capital Budget beginning January 1, 2003 increases from $33,099,900.00 to $35,099,900.00.
The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The County Council of Allegheny County hereby appropriates $2,000,000.00 of funds resulting from the sale of property located in Marshall Township. These funds will be appropriated to the 2003 Capital Budget for the project entitled Port Authority Transit. These funds will be used in support of funding against Section 5307 Block Grants, Section 5309 Fixed Guideway Projects and the North Shore Connector with the Federal Transportation Administration.
SECTION If any provision of this Resolution shall be determined to be unlawful, invalid, void or unenforceable, then that provision shall be considered severable from the remaining provisions of this Resolution which shall be in full force and effect.
SECTION Any Resolution or Ordinance or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Ordinance.
