This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Nicholas George Spak of Boy Scout Troop 28 in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, scouting's most distinguished honor. This Council commends Mr. Spak's diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career, his growth as a troop leader, and his dedication to our community. For his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Spak led an international humanitarian effort that involved collecting and shipping over 900 pounds of first-aid and personal hygiene items to 12 different centers for needy children and orphanages located throughout the Ukraine. Additional funds were used to cover the cost of shipping 54 containers of adult diapers to a Ukrainian orphanage caring for severely disabled children. In total, the vulnerable children of Ukraine received over one ton of supplies thanks to Mr. Spak's efforts. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Spak has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow. He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
