This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to the Allegheny County & Western Pennsylvania Association of Township Commissioners in honor of their 35^th Anniversary.  The Association was formed in November 1972 in order to serve First Class Townships throughout Western Pennsylvania.  The Association's purpose is to advance the interests of First Class Townships, including infrastructure improvement and economic development which benefits these municipalities.  The Association also cooperates with cities, boroughs, townships and Allegheny County through the Allegheny League of Municipalities.  This Council joins in celebrating the Association's 35^th Anniversary at the 2007 Annual Joint Fall Conference at Seven Springs, Pennsylvania.  We extend our deepest appreciation to the Allegheny County & Western Pennsylvania Association of Township Commissioners for its service to the community, which serves as an inspiration to us all.
