Proclamations honoring Allan Kennedy of Oakmont Borough Council for his dedicated service to the community.
Body
WHEREAS, communities are truly blessed to have leaders that are charitable and selfless, and utilize their serviceable leadership abilities to work towards the betterment of the community; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Allan Kennedy fully embodies a great citizen who turned his gift of guidance to the community of Oakmont; he has worked long tenures in leadership, teaching and coaching positions, and Mr. Kennedy's work in these fields is well-respected and valued by the citizens of Oakmont; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Kennedy has worked tirelessly as an advocate for important issues that will better the Oakmont community; his expertise has brought much improvement to the community, and we are grateful for his invaluable contributions; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Kennedy was elected to Borough of Oakmont's Council in 1982 and has dutifully served the community in a most exemplary, positive, generous and high-spirited manner that fully encompasses the goodness and beneficial guidance of a great elected representative, Mr. Kennedy certainly has been essential to the betterment of Oakmont;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, thanks Mr. Allan Kennedy for his dedication and determination to providing his indelible services to Oakmont. His status as a gentleman, leader, educator and good neighbor is truly inspirational; he is a great public servant and a role model for all to follow. We thank Mr. Kennedy for his years of service to the Borough of Oakmont, for he confers honor to the community and to our County as a whole.
