This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Ms. Sophie E. Mandella upon the momentous occasion of her 100th birthday. Ms. Mandella was born on July 29, 1914 in McKeesport Hospital. She married the late John Jacob Mandella and together they had three children, John, Bruce and Bernadette. Ms. Mandella has four cherished grandchildren, John, Mark, Megan and Heather. For the last decade, Sophie has lived with her daughter's family in Upper St. Clair and is a member of St. John Capistran Catholic Church. Before moving, she lived in McKeesport and White Oak and was a member of St. Mary's Polish Catholic Church, now Corpus Christi parish. We honor Ms. Mandella for her longevity, which can be attributed to her positive attitude and outlook. Furthermore, we commend Ms. Mandella for taking a proactive approach to life, and we wish her the best as she celebrates her 100th birthday.
