An Ordinance of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, authorizing an Agreement with South Park Boxing, Inc. for the use of The Boxing Barn on 100 Acre Drive near the Fairgrounds in South Park.
WHEREAS, the South Park Boxing, Inc. is currently using the Boxing Barn and done so for many years to conduct a boxing school and hold boxing matches; and
WHEREAS, the South Park Boxing, Inc. wishes to continue to use The Boxing Barn on 100 Acre Drive without interruption; and
WHEREAS, the South Park Boxing, Inc. has offered boxing lessons to many people and has maintained said building and been solely responsible for all insurance and required permits, licenses, etc. for said services; South Park Boxing, Inc. will continue to offer this community program at the location, provide general maintenance facility and/or pay the County $200 per year for use of said facility.
WHEREAS, Article IV, Section 2(k) of the Allegheny County Home rule Charter vests County Council with the power and duty by ordinance to lease or permit the use of County real property.
The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby enacts as follows:
SECTION 1. Incorporation of the Preamble.
The provisions set forth in the preamble to this Ordinance are incorporated by reference as set forth in their entirety herein.
SECTION 2. Authorization to permit the use of County Real Property.
Allegheny County Council hereby approves the continuation of a contract to the South Park Boxing, Inc. for the use of The Boxing Barn on 100 Acre Drive near the Fairgrounds in South Park.
Council hereby acknowledges the contract for the period September 1, 2014 through August 31, 2016, subject to the terms and conditions as more fully outlined in the Contract.
The proper officers of the County are hereby authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to effectuate the lease of the property.
