Proclamation celebrating the one year anniversary of Natrona Comes Together Association, a neighborhood group dedicated to improving the quality of life for all Natrona residents.

WHEREAS, Natrona Comes Together Association (NCTA) is a non-profit neighborhood organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all Natrona, Pennsylvania residents; and

 

WHEREAS, community events foster a sense of ownership, pride and positive force to tackle neighborhood problems; and

 

WHEREAS, NCTA has mobilized residents to stage many successful events including a Street and Alley Clean-up, River Clean-up, Crime Watch Program, Anonymous Drug Reporting Flyer, Landlord Code Violation Flyer, National Night Out, Winterfest Bonfire, Sunfest Festival, Community Flea Market, Pumpkin Fest and a Pittsburgh Symphony Concert; and

 

WHEREAS, this is a remarkable accomplishment, considering the agency is just one year old; and

 

WHEREAS, because of these creative initiatives Natrona is experiencing a renewal with the help of thousands of volunteer hours from NCTA members;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate Natrona Comes Together Association upon the occasion of their one year anniversary and we thank this organization for improving the quality of life to Natrona residents, serving as an inspiration to this Council and Allegheny County residents.
