Proclamation honoring Community College of Allegheny County Associate Professor Mr. Jason Nadzam for his outstanding instruction to the students of the college.
Body
WHEREAS, Mr. Jason Nadzam, an associate professor at the Community College of Allegheny County's West Hills Center in Oakdale, is the instructor and coordinator of the General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nadzam is an expert in automotive service; he earned an Associate of Applied Science degree with honors from CCAC in 1994 and was subsequently awarded the General Motors Goodwrench Leadership Award; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nadzam has spent his career mastering the mechanics of General Motors cars; he has placed in many skills competitions as a result, including placing first in the North Central Region Avis Technician Skills Competition in 2003 and placing third in the national portion of the contest; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nadzam has completed eight master technician certifications through General Motors, which promoted him to World Class Technician status, a distinction earned by only two percent of approximately 70,000 General Motors technicians across our nation; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nadzam's unwavering commitment to his craft is to be looked upon with great pride by residents of our County, for he now shares his enthusiasm and expertise by teaching the youth of our community;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, recognizes Mr. Jason Nadzam, a 1994 graduate of the Community College of Allegheny County, for his success in the automotive service industry. We commend him for his dedication and hope he continues to positively impact the students of our County.
