This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to Mr. Daniel M. Daugherty for his outstanding contributions to public service. Mr. Daugherty was elected to the Borough of West View Council in January 1970 and at that time he served as Chairman of the Public Works Committee. From January 1972 to March 1974 he served as Vice-President of Council and from March 1974 to September 2007 he acted as President of Council. During his tenure, he was actively involved with Allegheny County's Borough Association (ACBA), Allegheny League of Municipalities (ALOM), and Municipal Risk Management Property & Liability Trust. He has also participated in many organizational civic functions. We commend Mr. Dan Daugherty for his significant contributions to the Borough of West View and the community as a whole. You have set a high standard of commitment and dedication which the residents of our great County of Allegheny may follow, and which serves as an inspiration to this Council and the citizens of Allegheny County.
