An Ordinance of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania authorizing the Chief Executive to execute a Deed conveying the County of Allegheny's interest in parcels jointly owned by the County of Allegheny, North Braddock Borough and the Woodland Hills School District to the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County.

Whereas, the County of Allegheny, North Braddock Borough and the Woodland Hills School District acquired title to a certain parcels known as 375-A-71; 375-A-75; 375-B-300; 375-E-30; and 375-F-356 (the whole referred to as "the Parcels") located in North Braddock, pursuant to tax sale action completed in 1983; and

Whereas, the Parcels have remained vacant and tax exempt since the time of the Tax Sale; and

Whereas, the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County desires to acquire the Parcels from the Three Taxing Bodies in order to assemble the property for the development of affordable and market rate housing in partnership with the Mon Valley Initiative and Grandview Associates; and
Whereas, Article IV Section 2(l) of the Allegheny County Home Rule Charter vests County's Council with the power and duty by ordinance to convey real property owned by the County.

The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.
The provisions set forth in the preamble to this Ordinance are incorporated by reference in their entirety herein.


Section 2.

The County Council of Allegheny County hereby does approve the transfer of the interest held therein by the County of Allegheny in certain parcels known as 375-A-71; 375-A-75; 375-B-300; 375-E-30; and 375-F-356 to the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County.
The proper officers of the County are hereby authorized to execute any and all documents, including deeds, necessary to effectuate the conveyance of the County's interest in the Parcels.
