TITLE
A Resolution of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, granting Allegheny County Economic Development authority to apply for and, if awarded, accept grant funds from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Community Conservation Partnership Program.

WHEREAS, Allegheny County Economic Development is undertaking the Allegheny County Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources makes available grants-in-aid for Community Recreation, Land Trusts, Rails-to-Trails, Rivers Conservation, and PA Recreational Trails; and
WHEREAS, the Allegheny County Economic Development desires to apply for and, if awarded, accept and implement $300,000.00 of grant funds from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to fund a Park, Greenways, Recreation, element of the Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Community Conservation Partnership Program (C2P2) grant requires an equal matching contribution from Allegheny County; and
WHEREAS, the grant will be matched by $200,000.00 funds from the Allegheny County Capital Budget and $100,000 of in-kind services.
Be it resolved by the Council of Allegheny County as follows:
SECTION I. AUTHORIZATION TO APPLY FOR, AND IF AWARDED, ACCEPT AND IMPLEMENT A $300,000.00 GRANT FROM THE PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND NATURAL RESOURCES'S COMMUNITY CONSERVATION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM.
A. That the Council of Allegheny County hereby authorizes Allegheny County Economic Development to apply for and, if awarded, accept $300,000.00 of grant funds from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Community Conservation Partnership Program (C2P2) to fund a Park and Recreation Element of the Comprehensive Plan; and
