Proclamation recognizing and commending Ms. Kate Reiche for her tremendous contributions to the cause of good government and for serving this Council with the utmost integrity.
Body
WHEREAS, since its inception, Allegheny County Council has been blessed with exemplary staff whose knowledge and determination have contributed greatly to its foundation; staff members like Kate Reiche have placed their stamp of character and hard work on this office; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Kate Reiche, also known as one of the “Originals,” was hired by County Council as a receptionist in the very first waive of hires by the new form of government; her lyrical voice and upbeat personality soon became the “voice” of Allegheny County Council, easily recognizable by those who phone the offices for assistance; and
WHEREAS, throughout her tenure with Council, Ms. Reiche has given untiring service to this County and the Council, provided support to its Members, assisted in training new staff, and has transitioned to the position of Executive Secretary to the Chief of Staff and Budget Officer; and
WHEREAS, during her time with Council, Kate married Mr. Lary Reiche and gave birth to Mr. Connor Reiche, her pride and joy; she is a mother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by the staff and Members of Allegheny County Council as she begins a new opportunity with the Office of State Senator Wayne Fontana;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Allegheny County Council does hereby recognizes Ms. Kate Reiche for her tremendous contributions to the cause of good government, serving this Council with the utmost integrity; the citizens of Allegheny County and this Council are truly indebted to her for her role in launching this new form of government.
