This certificate of recognition is presented to Ms. Ellen Friedman in honor of her years of service to Aspinwall Crime Watch. Ms. Friedman, along with Mrs. Dorothy Killian, has spent the past 35 years spearheading the efforts of Crime Watch, an organization dedicated to enhancing the safety of Aspinwall residents. Throughout their years of involvement with Crime Watch, Ms. Friedman and Mrs. Killian have raised more than $34,000 through a variety of fundraising efforts, which has resulted in such initiatives as the addition of a motorcycle for the Aspinwall Police Department and the implementation of SWIFT911, a call system used to broadcast important information to borough residents regarding emergencies and crimes. On behalf of the residents of Allegheny County, we hereby commend Ms. Ellen Friedman for her commitment to serving and protecting the residents of Aspinwall Borough.
