Motion of the Council of Allegheny County pulling Bill No. 3738-08, authorizing a feasibility study of the Allegheny County Airport Authority, Allegheny County Sanitary Authority ("ALCOSAN"), and the Port Authority of Allegheny County ("Port Authority") for the purpose of evaluating dissolution and/or privatization thereof, from committee for an immediate final vote.

WHEREAS, Bill No. 3738-08, authorizing a feasibility study of the Allegheny County Airport Authority, Allegheny County Sanitary Authority ("ALCOSAN"), and the Port Authority of Allegheny County ("Port Authority") for the purpose of evaluating dissolution and/or privatization thereof, was introduced and referred to the Committee on Government Reform on February 5, 2008, or 510 days prior to the introduction of this motion; and
WHEREAS, Bill No. 3738-08 has been placed on the Committee's agenda for discussion only once (on March 12, 2008), and it has not yet been released for a final vote by the full Council; and
WHEREAS, the Rules of Allegheny County Council, Article IV, Section B.1., allow for bills to be pulled from committee by the vote of a simple majority if such motion is made after sixty (60) days from the date of the first reading of the bill;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,
That this Council hereby pulls Bill No. 3738-08 from the Committee on Government Reform and authorizes an immediate final vote on the bill.
