Motion of The Council of Allegheny County pulling Bill No. 4560-09, amending and supplementing the Allegheny County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 220, entitled "Campaign Finance Reports and Statements," through the creation of a new §220-10 governing reporting of certain campaign contributions and gifts to the Chief Executive or Members of Council, from committee for an immediate final vote.

                     WHEREAS, Bill No. 4560-09, amending and supplementing the Allegheny County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 220, entitled "Campaign Finance Reports and Statements," through the creation of a new §220-10 governing reporting of certain campaign contributions and gifts to the Chief Executive or Members of Council, was introduced and referred to the Committee on Government Reform on January 6, 2009, or 175 days prior to the introduction of this motion; and

 

                     WHEREAS, Bill No. 4560-09 has been placed on the Committee's agenda for discussion only once (on May 28, 2009), and it has not yet been released for a final vote by the full Council; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Rules of Allegheny County Council, Article IV, Section B.1., allow for bills to be pulled from committee by the vote of a simple majority if such motion is made after sixty (60) days from the date of the first reading of the bill;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,

 

That this Council hereby pulls Bill No. 4560-09 from the Committee on Government Reform and authorizes an immediate final vote on the bill.
