Proclamation congratulating Ms. Pat Jennette, Publisher and Editor of Allegheny West Magazine upon the occasion of her retirement.

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is blessed with individuals dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our neighborhood and the community as a whole; individuals such as Ms. Pat Jennette, who has placed her stamp of character and hard work throughout the community, as both a public servant and strong leader; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Jennette will be retiring as the Publisher and Editor of the premier magazine serving the Pittsburgh West Hills, Allegheny West Magazine; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Jennette of North Fayette Township established Allegheny West Magazine in 1999 as a spin-off of her company, Jennette Communications Group; she launched the first edition serving the communities in the West Allegheny School District, tapping from her background as a public relations director for the school district of the same name and her previous experiences as a newspaper reporter and public relations consultant; and
WHEREAS, in 2003, the second edition serving the Montour School District debuted, and shortly thereafter, the third edition was launched in the Moon Area School District; combined, the three editions of Allegheny West Magazine reach into the homes and businesses in 14 communities across Allegheny County’s western suburbs surrounding Pittsburgh International Airport, with an estimated 100,000 plus readers; the company adheres to its motto, “Good News Always, Mailed and Delivered Free, Every Time”; and
WHEREAS, through her multi-award winning magazine, Ms. Jennette supported and encouraged local businesses, community groups and individuals, and she enhanced the quality of life for countless residents;
