This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Ms. Dorothy Ruth Moone Beavers, a resident of Penn Hills Township, upon the momentous occasion of her 100th birthday, which she will celebrate on April 16th. Ms. Beavers was a longtime employee of Allegheny County, working for the Health Department as a nurse and for the Board of Elections, which she continues to do today. Dorothy is the proud parent of two daughters, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She enjoys volunteering and helping to better the lives of others, evident by her work as a foster grandparent and through her work with the Red Cross. We honor Dorothy for her longevity, which can be attributed to her positive attitude and outlook. Furthermore, we commend Ms. Beavers for her independent spirit, taking a proactive approach to life, and we wish her the best as she celebrates her 100th birthday.
