Pulling Bill No. 8189-14 amending Article II of the Rules of Council for Allegheny County Council through the creation of a new Section F.11., in order to provide a standardized rule governing participation in all standing committee, from committee for an immediate and final vote.
WHEREAS, Bill No. 8189-14 was introduced in a Regular Meeting of Council on April 8, 2014 and referred to the Committee on Government Reform; and
WHEREAS, Bill No. 8189-14 has not yet been recommended to full Council for a final vote even though Section 5-311.04 (B) of the Allegheny County Administrative Code requires a vote within 90 days of submittal; and
WHEREAS, the Rules of Allegheny County Council, Article IV, Section B, allow for bills to be pulled from committee by the vote of a two-thirds majority of the seated Members of Council if such motion is made less than sixty (60) days from the date of the first reading of the bill;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,
That this Council hereby pulls Bill No. 8189-14 from the Committee on Government Reform, and authorizes an immediate final vote on the bill.
