Proclamation congratulating the Bon-Ami Temple No. 49 of the Daughters of Elks 2015 award winners.

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is blessed with individuals and organizations dedicated to improving our quality of life through many worthy endeavors, especially the Improved Benevolent, Protective Order of Elks of the World, known as Elkdom; when founded in 1898, the fraternal group added a Women's Auxiliary to help with its many worthwhile activities in 1902; and
WHEREAS, on March 21, 2015, the Bon-Ami Temple No. 49 of the Daughters of Elks, will honor outstanding members for their accomplishments and service to Elkdom and their fellow citizens; and
WHEREAS, the selfless and spirited members chosen for the 2015 awards include Mr. Elk, Brother Robert "Bobby" Mulgado D.D.G.E.R., member of Booker T. Lodge #218, McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and Ms. Elk, Daughter Rhonda Randall, Daughter Ruler of Evening Star Temple #85, Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, for their outstanding service to Elkdom; and
WHEREAS, the organization will also recognize Robyn Greer, Owner/Operator of The Trevor James Experience Salon, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with the Entrepreneur Award; The Honorable Marita Garrett, Wilkinsburg Borough Council Member, Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, with the Civic Service Award; and Andrienne Turner, Community Advocate, with the Community Service Award;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council does hereby commend all members of Bon-Ami Temple No. 49, Daughters of Elks, I.B.P.O.E. of W. for their compassion and generous charity work in one of America's most livable communities, and we congratulate the 2015 Award-winners for their zeal and fervor toward their respective fields of endeavor which serve as an inspiration to us all.
