This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Zack Reynolds in recognition of winning the Breisinger Award. The Breisinger Award is voted on by the Thomas Jefferson football players and given to the teammate who best exemplifies hard work on the field and in the community, combined with a strong academic standing. The award is named after the late Pleasant Hills police officer Albert Breisinger, who died in 1979 while attempting to save children from a sinkhole. Mr. Reynolds carries a 3.6 grade-point average, and is a 5-foot-11, 240-pound right guard on the offensive line. He also served as a back-up defensive tackle for the Jaguars. The 2014-2015 Thomas Jefferson High School Football Team recognized Mr. Reynolds for his leadership and inspiration. Mr. Reynolds has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow. He has set a positive example of excellence for all of Allegheny County, continuing evidence that this is the County of Champions.
