Allegheny County Council is proud to present this Certificate of Recognition to Patrolmen Mark McConnell, Lawrence D. Smither, Brian Riggle, and William J. Wasko, Jr., Detectives Jon P. Comis and Gregory Matthews, and Sergeant Luke J. Lesic upon the occasion of their retirement from the Allegheny County Police Department. Their accomplishments are many and varied and have established Allegheny County's Police Department as a model on a national scale. They have diligently guarded the safety of our county's residents over the course of their exemplary careers, and this endeavor has earned both the esteem and the respect of the citizens of Allegheny County. Their dedication to serving the community even at great risk to themselves has conferred honor upon the county to be shared by each of us and, for that, we commend them.
