Proclamation thanking the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania for hosting the 32nd Annual International Bridge Conference at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center from June 7-11, 2015.

WHEREAS, the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania is hosting the 32nd Annual International Bridge Conference at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center from June 7-11, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania is to advance the engineering profession and position Western Pennsylvania as a center for engineering excellence; its work with the International Bridge Conference has promoted that mission and our region as one of growth and progress in terms of engineering; and
WHEREAS, the International Bridge Conference attracts more than 1,500 bridge owners and engineers, senior policy makers, government officials, bridge designers, construction executives, and suppliers from throughout the United States and abroad; and
WHEREAS, events at the conference include Exhibit Hall, Technical Sessions, Workshops, Seminars, Bridge Awards, and Student Awards; and
WHEREAS, Allegheny County, which boasts over 2,000 bridges, is proud to be the host of the International Bridge Conference, and we welcome all those attending to enjoy their stay in our region;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Allegheny County Council does hereby thank the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania for its work and support of the International Bridge Conference in Allegheny County, and warmly welcome the conference attendees to our region.
