This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Mr. and Mrs. Clyde and Florence Shively of Liberty Borough upon the monumental occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary. The former Florence Marks of Pittsburgh and Clyde Shively of Niles, Ohio, met while he was on leave from the military. They were married on June 1, 1950 in First Christian Church in McKeesport by Pastor Robert L. Pate. Clyde is a World War II veteran who served in the Army's 10th Armored Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from the transportation department of U.S. Steel. Florence retired from Union National Bank as a teller. They are the proud parents of Russell (Marsha) Shively of McKeesport, and the grandparents of three cherished grandsons. We are pleased to recognize the couple's impressive dedication to each other over so many years; only two people who are truly meant for one another can spend their lives together. We congratulate Clyde and Florence on this great milestone and wish them much happiness in the future.
