Proclamation recognizing and thanking Erin Graney for her dedicated service to Allegheny County Council.

WHEREAS, since its inception, Allegheny County Council has been fortunate in its ability to employ staff whose knowledge and determination have contributed greatly to the foundation and growth of Council as a vital part of Allegheny County government; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Erin Graney has worked as an Administrative Assistant for County Council since April 2014, and since that time she has repeatedly comported herself with grace and professionalism in assisting the Council with its daily operations; and
WHEREAS, prior to joining Allegheny County Council, Erin was employed as a Communications Assistant/Proclamation Writer for former City of Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl; Erin also served in the Mayor’s Office of Service and Civic Engagement (servePGH) as an AmeriCorps VISTA, Veterans Service Associate; and
WHEREAS, Erin created County Council’s first ever social media plan, establishing and managing content for Council’s Facebook and Twitter pages; Erin also began the process of updating Council’s website in conjunction with the Division of Computer Services; She provided assistance with the preparation of Council’s 2015 Budget, and her administrative office duties included payroll, correspondence, proclamations, and community events; and
WHEREAS, throughout her tenure with Council, Erin has provided support to its Members, and offered her best in the service of the County’s residents;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Allegheny County Council does hereby recognize Ms. Erin Graney for her consistent dedication and contributions to County government while serving both County Council and the citizens of Allegheny County. Council hereby bestows its most sincere thanks and extends its most profound wishes for her happiness and success in the future.
