Proclamation thanking Ms. Colleen Felentzer for her 13 years of service as the Director of Communications and Events for the Allegheny League of Municipalities (ALOM) and congratulating her as the new Executive Director of the Alle Kiski Strong Chamber.

WHEREAS, after 13 years of dedicated service to the Allegheny League of Municipalities (ALOM), Ms. Colleen Conroy Felentzer has joined the Alle Kiski Strong Chamber as its new Executive Director; and
WHEREAS, Colleen graduated magna cum laude from Point Park University with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Corporate Communications; and
WHEREAS, as the Director of Communications and Events for the League, Colleen coordinated the needs of the area’s local government officials. She planned and managed event activities, established the League’s first website, its first event registration system and its first vendor directory. She also managed print and online marketing efforts, and she increased sponsorships and gifts. For six months, Colleen assumed the role of Executive Director of ALOM, ensuring the nonprofit continued to serve its clients with outstanding communication, coordination and cooperation; and
WHEREAS, Colleen’s experience supporting local governments in Western Pennsylvania will serve her well as she takes on her new role as the Executive Director of the Alle Kiski Strong Chamber, the sixth largest Chamber in the Pittsburgh region;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council does hereby thank Ms. Colleen Conroy Felentzer for her 13 years of leadership and guidance to our region through her work for the Allegheny League of Municipalities, and we congratulate and wish her well as she begins a new chapter in her life as the Executive Director of the Alle Kiski Strong Chamber.
