Proclamation congratulating the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh for earning the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America 2015 Midsize Agency of the Year award and the 2015 Board of the Year award.

 

Body...

 

WHEREAS, Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Greater Pittsburgh earned the 2015 Midsize Agency of the Year award from the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of America for its outstanding growth and tireless dedication to mentorship; and

 

WHEREAS, the BBBS of Greater Pittsburgh Board of Directors was named the 2015 Board of the Year by the BBBS of America; and

 

WHEREAS, BBBS of Greater Pittsburgh was recognized for its innovative programming such as mentor2.0, STARTup SOMETHING and Match Makers and for increasing its revenue while still maintaining increases in service numbers; and

 

WHEREAS, the Agency of the Year and Board of the Year award winners are determined by substantial growth in the number of children served, quality and length of mentoring matches and increased revenues that support the agency financially;

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh for being named the 2015 Midsize Agency of the Year and the 2015 Board of the Year by the national BBBS agency, and we thank BBBS of Greater Pittsburgh for its commitment and dedication to mentorship, thereby enhancing the quality of life in Allegheny County.
